treatment 1: target adults & prevent eggs & larvae from maturing
During the initial treatment, your technician will perform a detailed inspection of your home in order to detect any flea activity or suspected activity. Since fleas live on blood, they tend to be located around areas where your pet(s) sleep and frequent in the home. Fleas can also be brought in by feral animals living in the attic, basement, crawlspace, or other home areas, so your technician will inspect those areas as well.
After the inspection, your technician will apply a customized insecticide to your home to kill active adult fleas and prevent existing eggs and larvae from fully maturing. Many adult fleas can also be removed by vacuuming in high-concentration areas. Vacuuming triggers existing flea eggs to hatch, which allows our insecticide to target the newly hatched fleas. This treatment normally takes care of most flea activity.
